Poker Sal`s back in town!
By Johnny Hooker - SUN Contributor
Hey TCI poker fans ‘THE POKER MAN’ is back in town. Multi-million dollar Texas hold ‘em superstar Sal Guisti flew into Provo this week turning the heads of many astonished tourists on beautiful Grace Bay beach. “Oh my God is it really him?” shrieked cute curvaceous southern belle Layme Over. “My momma warned me about charmers like Sal!”
Sal and his beautiful former playboy bunny wife Barbara are here on their annual visit to Provo to play a little poker (or in Barb’s case bingo), meet the fantastically friendly locals and dine on our delicious TCI seafood.
“I just love munching that conch” said Barbara as she devoured a deliciously steaming hot plate full of Bernie’s Road Side Café conch fritters.
Sal, looking trimmer and fitter than on previous visits, made no secret of just why he loves coming to TCI. “It’s the people! You only find them in Turks! They are the best. Beautiful people. The place is beautiful. The beaches are beautiful. The weather is beautiful. And the poker here is tremendous”.
Sal is here taking a break from making his latest movie ‘Poker Face’ in which Sal stars as a young poker playing Harry Belafonte alongside Britney Spears as his faithful first girlfriend Beryl. “Not a lot of people know just how well Harry played poker.
This movie will change all that! It was my first time working with Britney. She really is a lovely lad! We had a lot of fun together” said a smiling Sal with a big twinkle in his eye.
If you see Sal around town don’t be afraid to go up and give him a big TCI welcome. He’s looking forward to having a wonderful poker filled week here.
